  2. testing your limits

Hi Dale Didn’t you say you would be testing your limits on the mountain not on the hotel strip in PA? The wind always died in the evening for the Wednesday evening sail boat races. Hopefully this applies where you are. Good luck.

    Cheers Jan and Walt

  3. Hi Dale!
Thanks for the phone call last night. We see that you still haven’t made it out yet but it’ll happen – and just like everything else in life, when you least expect it!

Thinking of all of you. Best wishes and take care.

  4. Give me Patience – and give it to me NOW

    Hi Dale (& Team)

Trust you are finding a way to pass the time – outside of the bar.

Just think of the patience you showed as you taught me how to sail on Lake Superior this year. Cool, Calm & Collected. Or was that Peg!!

Our thoughts are with you all. Trust you will get out SOON.

    All the Best

    Geri & Ellis

  5. Maybe taking a boat over would be a faster option. In the book I was reading called “life on the ice”, Ruff the author had to end up doing this.He was flying from New Zealand to Antarctica, and was faced with the same challanges.

  6. Regars from Flo Fenwick to Heather

    Dear Heather
I am following your trip – what n adventure! Hope you will be able to take off on Thursday. Keep safe.

  7. Relax….

    Heath,

Enjoy the calm. It’s like waiting for the due date…eventually it arrives and its a beautiful thing. Your time to fly will come soon enough. We have all 10 fingers and all ten toes crossed.

    Love D & C

  8. Hey Heather

I believe it was Woodrow T. Wilson that said “All things come to him that waits – provided he knows what he is waiting for”. I figure you know what you’re waiting for – so it should come soon. Waiting is the hardest part. Cheering you on, Vaska.

  9. llyod,heather and dale

Saw you both on ctv national news. Dale they used the feed from thunder bay for you and Heather they showed you at work and packing and training with some nice dog. You both were great came across really well as a couple of dedicated adventurers. It was really good as they also interviewed other people waitng for hearts and they were all very inspired by you two. I must say when I heard lloyd Robertson say fire fighter dale shippam it sent a couple of goose bumps up my spine. I’m still kind of in shock that you are doing this but it’s a good shock. Anyway you both were really great and very natural dale you made me cry and heather you made me laugh. Anyway take care, have a beer say hi to Pat Ian and the boys. and remember no matter how boring it seems down there, it’s alot more exciting than it is here.miss you Love P

  10. Waiting and wondering?

H, I’m sure you would all rather be starting the climb, but this apparently is really a huge part of this trek ( the waiting, from all that I have read on it) . I’m sure it will happen momentarily..
CITY TV just did another piece on you . ( senior reporter) as per Mary P apparently was very good .
Wishing the waiting is over today, and hope you found a hotel room.
    Ciao
