We are still waiting. The 9:30 call was that the winds are up.
Now we wait for 6 pm call.

Hi Heather, I’ve been following your adventure since Mom came back from visiting with your folks, I think what you’re doing is fantastic. I wish you and the whole team well, and I hope the 6 PM call is good news.
Be safe,

Hi Dale
we have our fingers etc.crossed for the 6 o’clock call! minus 16 round Boulevard this morning and minus 37 with windchill. Still not good “spitkickin'” weather hereabouts. Sleeping naked on my balcony did not go that well? or that long?? I hear the mountain beckoning!!
“Go tell it on the Mountain!” is our new theme song!!
love and best wishes fitz et al.
Hi Dale and friends
We are all keeping watch and hope you get good news to go at 6:00pm today. Feels like we’re practicing for Antartica ourselves today. Take care all of you.

Still waiting eh? You guys need Jamie down there. He wouldn’t let a little wind set you back. Plus, you can’t have mid air collisions with Penguins.
Sam
Hey Shipper
Man….. this wait must be killing you and the gang…not to mention us at home. I’m sure it’ll be all you imagined…and so much more…looking forward to hearing all about your fantastic adventure

Paradise Newfoundland
No go again today….oh well everything happens for a reason. Gerry is here now so I am looking forward to seeing him and having him keep Mom company. I expect to hear that you are heading out tomorrow night. I know it has been a long wait for everyone. It is nice to read the other comments as I feel like your support is endless with all the messages. Special note to the guides…please please keep everyone, especially my sister, well in spirit as they wait and endurance as you climb. If ever you would like to climb “the rock” there is an open invitation.
Lots of love,
Eileen
Hello from your operating room buddies
Hey Pat,
Finola, Pat, Marjan and I have had several tries at posting this web log thing and we think we have finally figured it out.
Sorry to hear about your homeless state. I dont suppose that there are subway grates to sleep on. The kids and I saw Happy Feet on the weekend. Say hello to the penguins and puffins….but not to the ?elephhant seals….they look nasty.

Work has been busy with some very interesting cases. The OR staff have been great and the team work has been amazing. (Please stay safe as we really need you well when you get back home). There are having Christmas rounds tomorrow for the OR.
Hope you get the telephone call that you all want. Say hi to the rest of the team from the OR staff.
Jane
May the wind soon be at your back
Pat – Tim and I have been following this every day and are wishing you all a break in mother nature’s nasty weather and teasing so you can get on with your admirable feat and get climbing, safely of course. You are in our thoughts. May December 8th be the lucky departure day!
Anne & Tim

Our prayers are with you xo Sandi & Teresa
Traditional Irish Blessing
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
The sun shine warm upon your face
The rain fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand..
Test your limits Blessing
May your patience match your courage
May the wind drop and the plane fly
The mountain embrace your eager team
The snow fall lightly on the base camp
And until your return,
May Shackleton’s bartender keep a warm chair
And a cold draught in his hand..
Best Wishes from Newmarket

Hi Dale and all
the spitkicking sport sounds like an interesting one, but I won’t brag about our lack of snow, as everyone else was laughing at us last week – there’s still snow here in Vancouver!
Here’s hoping that the wind and weather cooperate. I’ll ask my dad if he knows any sailor’s mythology that will help the weather improve…
Cindy
Best wishes
Hi Dale
Hope you get the weather you need soon. We think about you and your team everyday.
Maximum Bob.
Ian’s Trekkies
Hi Ian,
As Maureen said in an earlier note, we are all wearing our wrist bands, following the updates closely, cheering you on and wishing the entire team a succesful journey and a safe return. Be patient…that could be one of the hardest parts. Love and hugs, Helen, Gary, Meaghan and Emily
We’re thinking of you Dale
Any word yet? We’ve been following the website and also through my folks. We also heard your interview on As It Happens last week. The kids couldn’t believe Nana and Poppa’s next door neighbour was on the radio.
We hope everything goes well. Best wishes from Belgium!!
