\"\"Matthew Antolin\u2019s legacy continues to live on.<\/p>\n

A former patient of the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre, 27-year-old Matthew passed away in December 2012 while awaiting a heart transplant.<\/p>\n

His friend, Cayse Ruiter<\/a>\u00a0is biking from Tofino to St. John’s in his memory, to raise awareness of the importance of organ and tissue donation. Currently, there are more than 4,500 people waiting for a life-saving transplant in Canada.<\/p>\n

His journey will begin on Monday, June 3 in Tofino, British Columbia and he will cycle across the country to St. John\u2019s, Newfoundland.<\/p>\n
