Up and Over… Tombstone Park to unspecified camp ground \u2013 64k \u2013 camp nestled up a bit in the mountains, glorious site full of all the bags of salt for the highway<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Altitude gained  – 270m, descent 724m, we cycled through the clouds! the mountains towering around us \u2013 close tight (hence no sat signal). The huge granite mountains look like they shed gravel, the brush has all started to change colour to a burnt orange and red.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Animal sighting \u2013 Yukon swan, murder of crows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suneet did one big driving leg and was almost arrested as she stopped on the airport runway to wait for us. There were two runways nearby, one looked private \u2013 Dave and I saw this little 4 seater emerge from the bushes and take off \u2013 it looked crazy, can\u2019t imagine landing that on the small runway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overcast with BIG wind \u2013 right at us\u2026\u2026 made the descent feel more like flat\u2026 thank god for some drafting and peloton riding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Complete tech failure, over and over again\u2026\u2026despite multiple attempts by FF, DS and HR\u2026.Garmin InReach didn\u2019t work, Iridium Sat phone (no signal) and Immersat was a disaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
