On Saturday, October 15th, UHN Foundation hosted the 10th annual Diwali – A Night to Shine, presented by Scotiabank.
Through music, food and entertainment, the Diwali - A Night to Shine gala celebrates India’s culture, traditions and legacy. Since inception in 2011, the UHN Diwali gala continues to expand and has become the most prestigious Diwali celebration in Toronto.
With the tremendous support of sponsors, donors and guests, UHN Foundation is pleased to announce that more than $1.6 million was raised for Krembil Brain Institute and Toronto Rehab at UHN.

The Krembil Brain Institute at Toronto Western Hospital is home to the world’s largest, most comprehensive and most specialized team of clinicians and scientists, uniquely working hand in hand to prevent and confront problems of the brain and spine. Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, stroke and many other conditions affect millions worldwide. One in three Canadians will experience a brain problem in their lifetime. Through state-of-the-art patient care and advanced research, the Krembil Brain Institute team is working relentlessly to make tomorrow’s solutions a reality today.
